Using the double Anthology situation to our advantage...

A LAMDA Case Study
We have a situation with a student re-joining our classes after a year away. In December 2023, when she was in Year 6, she took a Grade 1 Solo Acting LAMDA Exam and passed with Distinction. We do have Year 6 students taking Grade 2, but as she was new to Speech and Drama exams, we erred on the side of caution, especially as she was taking the exam early in the academic year.
For various reasons she then discontinued her classes, and rejoined just last week. She’s now in Year 8 and is 12 years old. The question is: which grade should she take now?

This is in line with our recommended minimum ages, and means that she has a really nice progression through all the grades.
Grade 3?
She’s a capable student and impressed her teacher at the first class with her confidence. It’s very likely that, give her age and previous experience, she’d do well at Grade 3 and we don’t want to hold her back if she’s ready for the challenge.
Grade 4?
