If you prefer reading to watching, here’s a summary of what I discussed:
Over two weekends, 143 students participated across 9 sessions, each lasting about 5.5 hours. While participation wasn’t universal, the student body was evenly split between levels 1, 2, and 3, with over half taking acting exams.
I’m proud to say that the exams ran smoothly, thanks to a clear checklist and maintaining a positive attitude. I’ve provided our checklist below which outlines the jobs in the months, weeks and days leading up to the exams.
Our examiners felt well cared for, students came prepared with their materials, barring a minor hiccup when one forgot their prose book which they needed for sight-reading. I quickly resolved it by downloading the book onto my Kindle and adjusting the font size, and the examiners also had a backup book ready. Staying calm and cheerful during the exams proved essential in creating a less stressful environment for the students.
