I was going to share the third part of my Shakespeare Level 2 Knowledge series this week, but when I saw that it was my 100th post I thought I needed to do something a bit more exciting…
So my treat for all you lovely subscribers is:
🎉 FIVE BRAND NEW MONOLOGUES THAT YOU CAN USE IN LAMDA EXAMS
These are all adaptations from the dialogue of published novels — so they’re fully acceptable for LAMDA Entry Level through to Grade 5. And because each novel is out of copyright, I can share them freely with you.
My students have been using them for a long time, so they have a proven track record, and I hope your students enjoy them as well.
🧚♂️ Peter Pan - a monologue adapted from Peter Pan by J M Barrie. I use it for Entry and Grade 1.
🐴 The Old Horse - a monologue adapted from The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams. I use it for Grade 1 and 2.
🌷 Mrs Matlock - a monologue adapted from The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I use it for Grade 3 and 4.
🐅 Mother Wolf and Shere Kahn - a duologue adapted from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. I use it for Grade 3 and 4.
🕰 The Time Traveller - a monologue adapted from The Time Machine by H G Wells. I use it for Grade 4 and 5.
