G7 Verse and Prose: Emphasis and Modulation
The 'elicitation technique' helps your students produce natural answers, and relieves the pressure of having to memorise facts.

I always remind my students that the Knowledge section should not be about memorising facts, but about sharing their understanding clearly and naturally. So I use the ‘elicitation technique’ to find out how much they already understand about emphasis and modulation.
The ‘elicitation technique’ means asking your students questions to find out what they already know, rather than giving them the answers. Here’s a good way to start them off:
